ISO 9001 Certification

In December, 2003, IRIS S.A.I.C. became the FIRST COIL AND AEROSOL INSECTICIDE PARAGUAYAN FACTORY to get the 2000 version ISO 9001 certification. The certifying company, Bureau Veritas International, granted quality certificate number 141096 for designing, producing and marketing Mosquito Killing Coils and Aerosol Products.

We have follow-up audits every six months during the first year and then every year in order to guarantee the sustainability and continuous improvement of our quality system.

Manufacturing Best Practice Certification

IRIS S.A.I.C. is the first Paraguayan factory of cleaning and insecticide products that gets the "Manufacturing and Controlling Best Practice Certification" for its risk II products, which include all the insecticide line of products. This certification was granted by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, SENASA in October, 2004. This certification means that the Paraguayan sanitary authorities, after a thorough audit based on the manufacture and control Best Practice Guidelines and on the MERCOSUR Standards, certify that IRIS meets all the requirements of the mentioned technical regulations.

"5S - D.O.L.A.R." Program

Since 2000, IRIS Quality Department has led the implementation of a program to improve the cleaning and organization of the company, which has a lot to do with efficiency and productivity. Even though in Japan the program is called "Five Ss", in IRIS it is called DOCHR because its five stages are Discarding, Organization, Cleanliness, Harmony and Responsibility.
This is the work we carry out in each stage:

DISCARDING:
Discarding is a stage with a lot of movement. We throw away many things, recover beautiful spaces, select what is still useful and recycle.

ORGANIZATION:
The slogan for this stage is "A place for everything. Everything in its place". We identify everything's place with signs and labels on the shelves, drawers and folders. This prevents accidents and helps us save both time and money.

CLEANLINESS:
The third stage was created after the belief that cleanliness improves work quality and life quality of people at work. It is all about "not getting things dirty".

HARMONY:
The harmony stage goes a step beyond the Cleanliness stage. We want ourselves to be a reflection of this cleanliness, so that we are able to create a positive environment where it is pleasant to work in.

RESPONSIBILITY:
This stage reminds us that we are all Responsible of always following the Discarding, Organization. Cleanliness and Harmony stages. We can achieve this by carrying out periodic audits, granting awards to the best areas. The goal is turning D.O.C.H.R. into a lifestyle.
