Who we are
We are an organization devoted
to manufacturing and marketing products for home cleaning,
personal hygiene and agricultural and veterinarian uses, both
for local and international clients, by optimizing resources
in order to obtain quality at a fair price. Our commitment
with life encourages us to carry out education promoting actions,
in order to contribute to a worthier life.
IRIS markets products
with its own trademarks: MATIRIS, PINOLECHE, ZITRON, KERKUS,
AUT, PELUCHE and BIS in local and international markets. It
also manufactures insecticides for well-known international
trademarks from the United States, Canada, Dominican Republic,
Panamá, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil and Uruguay, proudly showing
the "Made in Paraguay" seal.

Making History
A By mid 1928, the Cosp Corominas
brothers arrived in Asuncion, capital city of the Republic
of Paraguay, from Catalonia, Spain. They started together
to build the foundations for what would become IRIS S.A.I.C.
Their business became a public limited company on September
15, 1936. Their first activity was the production of perfumes.
Later, they also started to manufacture insecticides, cleaning
products and veterinarian products.
In 1922, the Board of Directors signed a commitment letter,
which decisively stimulated a process of change towards Total
Quality.
This effort for continuous improvement drew the attention
of foreign investors. In 1998, 50% of the shares of IRIS was
sold to the company ZOBELE S.C. Investment Limited, located
in England. This was a very important step for IRIS, since
it provided it with experience as an international company,
exporting insecticides for the European, Asian and African
markets.
In December, 2003, IRIS S.A.I.C. became the FIRST COIL AND
AEROSOL INSECTICIDE PARAGUAYAN FACTORY to get the 2000 version
ISO 9001 certification. The certifying company, Bureau Veritas
International, granted quality certificate number 141096 for
designing, producing and marketing Mosquito Killing Coils
and Aerosol Products.
In October 2004, IRIS obtains the title "1 st . Paraguayan factory of cleaning and insecticide products that gets the Manufacturing and Controlling Best Practice Certification" for all its insecticide line of products. This certification was granted by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, SENASA.
