IRIS is part of the Wholesaler Supermarket Supplier Fair. Buenos Aires, August 2004

IRIS S.A.I.C. participated in the great Wholesaler Supermarket Supplier Fair in Rural de Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in August. The presentation was a complete success, 175 exhibitors - IRIS was the only manufacturer of insecticides and the only Paraguayan company to participate. The Fair, with 8,000 square meters of presentation space, hosted over 10,000 visitors, and contacted with many interested parties from different Argentinean provinces.

Currently, from its branch in Argentina, IRIS is marketing its insecticide products in Formosa, Corrientes, Santa Fe, Parana, Cordoba, San Nicolas, Resistencia, Mendoza, and in the capital city. Its products go to different parts of the country through important supermarket chains such as Caceres, Impulso, Cadena California, Cadena Vea and other important distributors and wholesalers such as Naranpol and Cadena Diarco.

Mr. Christian Martinez, sales representative in Argentina, said, "Our products are very well accepted in the Argentinean market. As an illustration, we always remember that when we started selling our products in Argentina, our clients would ask us to make the "made in Paraguay" phrase as small as possible. Today, because of the outstanding quality of our MATIRIS coils, they are very well-regarded, and the MADE IN PARAGUAY phrase conveys a feeling of quality."

He also said, "Our services and products adjust to the client's needs. For example, if we are working with a distributor that works as a retailer, we adapt the presentation of the product for retailing. He have achieved a slow but steady introduction of our products, firstly by positioning our products based on their high quality and economical price, secondly, by advertising our products, and hence we have achieved a position for our MATIRIS trademark."

IRIS S.A.I.C., the FIRST Paraguayan company to get the Manufacturing and Controlling Best Practice Certification" for its insecticide products.

IRIS S.A.I.C. is the first Paraguayan factory of cleaning and insecticide products that gets the "Manufacturing and Controlling Best Practice Certification" for its risk II products, which include all the insecticide line of products. This certification was granted by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare, SENASA in October, 2004.

Once verified the fulfilment of all the requirements of the manufacture and control Best Practice Guidelines, as set by Law 836/80 of the Sanitary Code, and Decrees number 17,057/97 - 2,885/04 which include Resolutions of the MERCOSUR Group - GMC/MERCOSUR number 56/96 and 23/01, IRIS was granted Certification number 00101010006001, dated October 1st, 2004.

Mrs. Mari Isabel Villalba, in charge of the Registry, said, "This certification means that the Paraguayan sanitary authorities performed on IRIS's facilities a thorough audit based on the manufacture and control Best Practice Guidelines and on the MERCOSUR Standards. The result of that successful inspection of our manufacturing and controlling processes is this CERTIFICATION, which means that IRIS meets all the requirements of the mentioned technical requirements and regulations."

MATIRIS insecticides gave a prize to 8 persons with its sucessful promotion "MATIRIS FOAM"

IRIS S.A.I.C. gave a prize to 4 persons and their couples, with all-include trips to the summer-cities Camboriú and San Bernanrdino.
